Excerpt: I had some problems getting this camera to record directly to my PC. After a call to technical support everything is working great! Thank you Genevive (agent #AR004630) for the great service. She walked me through setting up and using D-ViewCam and the playback system.and now I am a happy camper :)
Summary: Having some issues with the remote communication feature. But I have taken a bad one back all ready and don't want to deal with it so I just live with the fact that it only does part of what it suppose to
Summary: This unit installs quickly without any major issues. It has great resolution and nice panning features. The only drawback I have found is that it videos in small segments. I would have liked to been able to stream continuous video to a drive and have a rewrite function.
Summary: We bought this so that we could look at our outside property even though this is an "inside" camera. During the daylight it is very effective, but the glare from the window pane at night distorts the clarity. It's not the camera's fault because it is supposed to be for inside surveillance.
Summary: For home use, this is a good solution vs. higher end systems I've considered. Once I got it set up for Wi-Fi & configured to record w/the separate D-Link adapter to record on my external hard drive, I recorded a ton of activities at home without any issue.
Summary: After connecting the camera to the router, it was easy to setup on the tablet. I'm still unable to setup the camera to my PC. I think it is a software issue. I haven't contacted tech support yet. The night vision looks good. I wish staples had the baby monitor.
Summary: i have buy a couple of surveillance camera and this one have good image quality and the night vision is working well. all the setting need to be done via the cam. web page. viewing and basing control can be done from any android phone, tablet, iphone/ipad
Pros: good surveillance camera for home.
Cons: zoom and missing control when using iphone/ipad
Summary: Product works as advertised. Setup went pretty well. The biggest problem is that it requires Java on the laptop/desktop from which you are accessing the camera, and if you have Apple products, especially an older one, that complicates things. On my newer desktop it works fine.
