Excerpt: Great camera and worked really well, but needed something that allowed 2 way audio. Would be great for anyone that did not need the 2 way audio as you can hear what is going on. Loved how easy it was to set up.
Summary: I'm not Tech savy. I setup the camera, and could see images online, but could not get the thing to email me motion notices. About 6 weeks later it came to life. I have now emailed DLink 4 times and I can't get it to send me actual images when motion is detected. I am using the camera for security at a cottage and so far, its been pretty useless.
Excerpt: Not bad for a day/night wireless camera. Night mode has exceptional picture in the darkest of night and Day mode and zoom also work well. The only thing holding this back from 4 stars is the mobile app which might be my Sprint service provider.
Summary: No problems with this camera except one. The installable Main Software takes some trial and error to figure out but the recording options and PTZ zone alerts work well. Pros: Indoors it clear and works great. Cons: Aiming though a window will give it white out so nothing is viewable from bright sunlight. Overcast days are fine.
Excerpt: I've read some reviews that these types of cameras are difficult to setup. This one is easy, but like anything tech related, you need to follow the directions. The D-Link service is free and it gets around issues the others have with most IP addresses not being static. The service works flawlessly, is installed on my desktop, and I only have to click on it, sign in, and view.
Summary: After spending an hour trying to get this unit working, and after 3 hours and three different (D-link) customer service agents trying to help the unit was declared defective and I was asked to ship it back.
Summary: DLink DCS-5010L is easy even for the novice. The DLink app is straightforward. If there's something you want to keep an eye on, get this camera. Flawless link through an IPhone, little bit plastic in construction but look at the price!
