Summary: Great security camera. Worked great out of the box whether using the plug in or power over ethernet. I only gave 4 stars because it just is TOO EXPENSIVE! I bought this one on sale. Since that purchase, it has gone up in price, in some cases, as much as $100.00.

Summary: The description accompanying the DCS-2310L lists "2-Way audio (built in MIC and speaker). Correction! Not if you intend to access it with your mobile phone. Not if you intend to use a Firefox or Chrome as a web browser.
Summary: I have purchased many of these cameras for personal and professional installations. Very user friendly and easy to setup and mount. Excellent HD picture and digital PTZ. By far the best consumer grade PoE camera on the market.
The picture quality is not the best, and the nightvision isn't that great either

Summary: I have 9 of these cameras and they are very reliable (so far). Its been about a year since I've purchased the first ones and I've never had any downtime. The picture quality is not the best, and the nightvision isn't that great either, but these cameras seem to be bulletproof.
Summary: A little background. The reason I bought this camera (2 of them), is to watch the front and the backyard. I had a really hard time setting up the motion detection. The Video motion detection work well during the day.
Pros: Only good for watching Video using my iPhone. Works well indoor Video Motion detection only works during the day light.
Cons: Motion detection doesn't work. Hard to setup and get the correct sensitivity. Lots of false alarm with motion detection. PIR detection has no sensitivity. It triggers every second.
Summary: The camera was easy to install if you are going to access the images via Wi-Fi or the Internet (through mydlink.com account). However, I could not access images with an iphone or ipad using a 3G network, despite trying several apps, and 8 hours of tinkering with settings.
