Summary: I was hoping to deploy an inexpensive mirrored array NAS for home storage and media. Now I'm going to try to return this item somehow and build my own. It worked, albeit underperformed, for about 2 weeks before I started experiencing problems. It was always slow.
Summary: Stay away from this device, its poorly designed and nothing but a bad headache.
Pros: Nothing really positive other then its cheap
Cons: I have had this device for just under 4 months, we have had it replaced once in warranty and now has died again. This device is horrible to troubleshoot, if it doesn't connect to the network there nothing you can do.... The Lights are ambiguous and really don't tell you anything that is wrong. Th...
Summary: There is a reason why this company only provides 1 year warranty on the NSA325. It fails shortly after a year. And has costed me $1000 worth of data recovery. My suggestion. If your data is critical. DONT GO CHEAP. YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR! And as a side note.
Summary: Had high hopes for this item. Trying to combine 3 computer's files in house into 1 location. Followed install directions, it would not connect to network. Waited overnight just in case it was a slow firmware update, nothing. Tried on another pc with downloaded software no luck.
Cons: Don't work as expected! Can't listen to music or video because it very often disconnect, internet don't so I assume it's not my wifi connection. Transfert speed is very slow. Itune server and dropbox applications don't work at all. Vitual disk don't always mount properly on opening of windows, of...
DEAD UNIT - Had NSA325 for just under 10 months :(
22 March 2013
Summary: I bought this product back in May of 2012. I was happy with its performance until just lately. Went to get something off the NAS and it was not accessible, so I went to investigate. The unit was on, but every 20 to 30 seconds all lights would turn off and then come back on.
