Legit Reviews
16 January 2012
  • Excerpt: As more and more homes get more and more tech-like tablets, game systems, and network media players in the house, there is a growing need for central storage for all those devices in the house to access data. Some tech savvy users build a file server with RAID capabilities, but not everyone has the skill, time, or desire to build. So those users turn to ready built options; one such device is a NAS or Network Attached Storage.

  • Conclusion: The Thecus N5500 NAS is a great contender for your next business NAS purchase. Whether your a company with 20 employees, or a company with a hundred, you can be sure that this NAS will be a fast reliable unit. I could certainly say this is a nice NAS for personal use, but for its price tag of about $850 USD your just better off buying a more affordable NAS that holds a couple fewer drives. This unit is after all targeted twards smaller businesses.

Expert Review

Tweak Town
2 October 2009
  • Excerpt: Thecus has been on a roll in 2009 launching one product after another. Some of the new products are just updates of previously released ones like the N7700 SAS and N8800 SAS, while others are redesigned from the ground up. The Thecus N5200 Pro was an amazing product but its time has now come to pass. The successor to the N5200 Pro is the N5500, another 5 SATA bay NAS server.

TEST: Thecus N5500 - Litt større NAS

PC World
25 May 2011
  • Pros: God ytelse.
  • Cons: For høy pris. Noe høyt støynivå. Lite ekstrafunksjonalitet.

NAS Thecus N5500

Noticias 3D
19 May 2010
