Summary: I bought my first unit at Newegg. It seemed nice until I had FOURTEEN new drives fail the badtrack program. Lots of luck getting any real help. Standard answers only and anything complex and Thecus told me to return the unit. I did and bought a second unit at Walmart and had the exact issues. Wasted almost two months, ruined one drive, and their answer to that was "Buy another unit from a dealer who has good units !
Summary: This is the 2nd NAS that I've purchased. The first was a Buffalo NAS and I wasn't impressed with it at all. But Thecus got this one right. PROS: It does everything it says it does. It also does a lot of things that it doesn't advertise. Essentially, it's a small PC running a customized version of Linux on it.
