Earlier this year we took a look at CoolerMaster's Inferno MMORPG mouse and now we're looking at CoolerMaster's new product, Spawn, geared towards first-person shooters. The mouse is the bread and butter and ultimate tool for anyone who plays games on the PC. Over the past dozen years there's been an explosion in shapes and sizes of it and for all different utilities. Read more

This pocket-sized package looks a good candidate as a portable NAS appliance. Performance is good enough for a general purpose storage device, the features belie its size and power consumption is extremely low. Read more

The old saying is that good things come in small packages, and that's definitely the case with the Thecus N0204 Mini NAS. It's no larger than a portable hard drive but provides a lot more than just storage. I don't know of any other NAS box that is this portable and manages to pack an FTP server, print server, media server, and so many other features into a tiny unit that can fit in your jacket pocket. I purchased the N0204 as a RAID1 NAS. I have been very satisfied with my Buffalo NAS (many years old, the only prolbem I every had was that fan failed several years ago, Buffalo was very helpful in describing how to fix it). It was time for a RAID1 box, and this box looked quite intriquing. Installation is very frustrating. There is only one way to install this machine and if it doesn't work, you are dead. Read more

I bought it to use it as a storage/network mp3/video storage box. The performance is great -- on a 100 mpbs lan I can run 3 streams and the box is keeping up with the load! Read more

    • Size, speed, power consumption, concept... overall a great little item!
    • Limited disk management software, but then again, not different from any other home NAS.
  3. Great NAS, but with HD limits
