Love it! The king of the NAS!

Summary: Well, it's my 3rd Synology NAS. Like the guys from Apple saying:"It just works". There are some glitches here and there, but in such complex device, you can't expect it all working "with no glitches" at all. Like the interface, the apps and the building quality, its also quit.
Summary: I back up all of my computers to this server, plus store tons of music, movies, and photos. I'm using both Amazon S3 and Synologybackup for offsite storage. Already lost one hard drive, but never lost data.
Summary: I've owned a DS109 for a couple of years. Originally bought it to be a NAS and ended up using it to download and stream media full time haha. It's still keepin on keepin on. Love it. So I decided to really buy one to use as a NAS.
Summary: This is my first NAS, and so far the experience has been great. It was extremely simple to install all 4 hard disks into the device to get the initial setup going. Also, if you're like me, after opening a product you tend to just toss the "Getting Started" CD to the side.
Summary: Well, after a few days and more help from Synology and the forums there I finally got my NAS working mostly how I want it. I find and hear my NAS fans very barely which is great! I find these fans...quiet fans! The Drives are working GREAT as far as I can tell and the rest of my Synology NAS!
Summary: I think I reviewed this before but I can't find it. 18 months on this is still going strong, there have been several updates. Works perfectly in my all Apple set up at home, I put 4 x 2tb drives in, never had an issue except I am not down to 240 gb space believe it or not.
Summary: For the price, I cant imagine there is a better unit on the market than this one. Have been able to set up everything i have attempted with minimal assitance from support, which i must say is excellent they provide understandable answers that even i can understand
Summary: A great little NAS but the firmware and web interface is really what Synology apart from other devices. It's like using a real computer within your browser! Everything is a real, proper user interface with draggable icons and windows on the "desktop". I'll certainly be buying another!
