Synology Disk Station DS211

Legion Hardware
18 February 2011
  • Summary: Although the Disk Station DS211 is far from the cheapest 2-bay NAS device you will come across, it’s certainly one of the best in terms of performance. For those that only require 4 – 6GB’s of storage and want something that will provide reasonably high transfer speeds, the DS211 is very reasonable at $300 US ($530 US with 2TB of storage).

Hands-On: Synology DiskStation DS211 Review

  • Conclusion: In our opinion, the DS211 is worth its sticker price and then some. It was easy to set up, versatile in its uses, small in physical size, quiet, well ventilated, and does not have overpowering LEDs all over it. I am truly amazed at how seamless the administrative web interface a.k.a the DiskStation Manager (DSM) performed and multitasked with multiple windows open.

Review: Synology DiskStation DS211 NAS

Geek.com
29 December 2010
  • Excerpt: Recently I’ve been able to spend some time with Synology’s relatively new DiskStation DS211 network-attached storage device. Like the DS210+, the DS210j and the DS209 before it, the DS211 is a two-disk NAS unit from a company that only makes storage devices.  This model is aimed at consumers and small businesses looking for a mid-range NAS without the performance or price tag you’s find in higher-end multi-disk devices.

ASE Labs
24 November 2010
  • Summary: The Synology DS211 is a worthy upgrade to the older and SOHO targeted DS210j. The real strength is in its horsepower and the upgrade to DiskStation Manager 3.0 software.

Synology DS211

  • Conclusion: Pracą DS211, jednego z najnowocześniejszych serwerów w ofercie Synology kieruje najnowszy komputer jednoukładowemy Marvella, taktowany zegarem 1600 MHz. Obudowę NAS-u Synology w wersji 2011 otwiera się równie łatwo jak dawniej. Wystarczy jedną połowę obudowy przesunąć względem drugiej o centymetr żeby rozłożyć obie części i uzyskać dostęp do napędów. Na krótką metę można się obejść bez śrubokrętu, ale do dłuższej pracy dyski należy przykręcić.
