Conclusion: Although a pricey prospect at just over £300, Synology's DiskStation DS210+ offers an assortment of features - ranging from a built-in DLNA Media Server to 256-bit AES encryption - that will appeal to both home and office users alike. From a hardware perspective, performance lives up to expectations and the DS210+ manages to remain cool and quiet when in use. Yet it's on the software front that Synology solutions really shine.
Conclusion: The new Synology DS210+ is truly a great product in all respects. It offers much that a business can appreciate, especially the on-board hardware based 256bit encryption for an extra level of security. There really are no real issues with it, and there’s plenty of things options, so not finding anything wrong is very good sign indeed.
Pros: Fast transfers, Hardware based encryption, You can hook a pair of speakers up to it to listen to music, Simple to setup and use, Stream music and videos easily to other devices, Cool and quiet, Many options
Cons: User interface might require learning for the novice, Streaming via mobile on anything other than an Apple product might not work sadly
