The Shuttle H7 5800 NAS device supports Windows Vista™ Ultimate 32Bit operating system and is powered by an Intel X58 + ICH10R chipset and Intel® Core™ i7 processor (with options to upgrade to Intel® Core™ i7-920 2.66GHZ 4.8GT/S 8M LGA1366 45NM; i7-940 2.93GHZ 4.8GT/S 8M LGA1366 45NM or i7-975 Extreme 3.33GHZ 6.4GT/S 8M LGA1366 45NM). The device supports four 240pin DDR3 DIMM slots with capability to accept up to 4 GB per DIMM for a maximum total RAM of 16 GB. It also supports triple channel DDR3 1066/1333/1600 (OC) MHz, with customization options for 3GB (3X1GB) PC3-12800 1600MHZ DDR3 NON-ECC or 6GB (3X2GB) PC3-12800 1600MHZ DDR3 NON-ECC. A 64-bit enabled processor and 64-bit operating system is required to utilize 4GB or more of memory. Storage support comes from three on board 3.0Gb/s bandwidth SATA (RAID 0,1,10,5), two 3.0Gb/s bandwidth eSATA in back panel, one UltraDMA 133 channel master from JMicron JMB368 and one floppy device.

Features

The Shuttle H7 5800 features built-to-order options for both its drive bays (it supports two) such as a choice of HDD or SDD up to 64GB Serial ATA Internal Solid state disk on one, or a 1.5TB Serial ATA 300, 7200rpm, 32MB cache on its second. The Shuttle H7 5800 also supports either a 22X22 DVD+-RW DUAL LAYER IDE BLACK, a 2X Blu-Ray/HD Rom Read Combo, DVD-RW SATA or a 4X Blu-Ray Triple Writer SATA optical drive. Users can choose to install the following graphics support on the NAS: 512MB GeForce 9800 GT DDR3 (2 x DV-I ); 1GB “Dual” Radeon HD4650 (2 x DV-I + HDTV); 1GB Radeon HD4850 (2 x DV-I + S-VIDEO); 1GB Radeon HD4870 (2 x DV-I + S-VIDEO) or 512MB GeForce 9800GT GDDR3 (2 x DVI-I, 2 x VGA ( with adapter ). The device supports 1GB GeForce GTX 285 (2 x DVI-I, HDTV), Realtek ALC888 and 7.1 channel High Definition Audio for audio support; two Realtek RTL8111C, IEEE 802.3u 100Base-T specification revision 1.0, 100Mb/s and 1Gb/s operation, Wake-On-LAN function and integrated 10/100/1000 Ethernet (Installed) for network support, with onboard connectors like three Serial ATA connectors, a ATA133 bus master IDE connector, two 5 pin USB 2.0 header, a floppy connector, two 4pin fan connectors, a 12V for main power connector, a 12V for standby power connector and a PS/2 keyboard/mouse header.
