Summary: Don't bother buying it. Seagate even though device is still listed on their site, and can purchase it. Does not support updating the firmware. What does this mean? You are maxed out to 16TB. They already offer 5TB drives, but choose to not even update the firmware for these drive.
Product is excellent, but the dashboard to run it is mind boggling.

Summary: The product works splendidly; however, not with the dashboard that comes with it. I recommend buying a secondary program to utilize the storage. I used NOVABACKUP, and it scheduled and performed beautifully without the need for an IT team.
A Great product and almos none of the problems related was faced....

Summary: Different from all other ones, I loved the product! I am a IT systems analyst at a great datacenter from Brazil. Of course nothing is perfet....the product have some points you have to deal, as everything. Goods and bads. But it is being just as expected for me.

Summary: Bought this unit to replace an HP MediaCenter Home Server. The Home Server has been running mostly flawlessly for years. Nightly backups of our multiple PC's. RAID array. But it's way past its prime. Also had a NetGear NAS that servers well for many years but was also now functionally obsolete.
Summary: !!Warning!! If you are prone to violence or have suicidal tendencies please avoid this product at all costs! I’m not sure exactly how this product even made it to the market. PROS: The Dash board is beautiful and it has a USM slot for backups.
Summary: This is actually nearing the end of a year-long project. Bought an earlier NAS400, and subsequently 4 of these units (not through Amazon, through our engineering supplier). Loaded with 4x3TB Seagate drives.
Summary: Out of three of these that have been online for less than 6 months, 2 have developed problems that require an RMA. The last issue took out three of 4 drives. One was under warrantee, the other two are door stops now. Buy at your own peril. To add insult to injury, they are closed for the holidays.
Summary: (Sorry if I shorten some of my sentences) I purchased the business class 4 bay NAS at a local electronic store, new and unopened. Hardware used: 500GB Seagate Desktop Sata Drive 1.5TB Seagate Desktop Sata Drive (USM form factor) 1 x 1TB Seagate GoFlex Mac formatted as NTFS (nuked GFS) 3 x 3TB...
