Summary: Worked long enough for me to load up my files, then never again. Could not access the drive and I later learned that the drive was not getting enough power from the USB port, and a new part, costing approximately $30.00 was required. Done with Seagate and their worthless products.
Summary: Have spent a lot of time on customer service line trying to get it to work with my Mac and iProducts. Cannot consistently get programs to load for play back on all my devices... Frustrated, but still sold on the concept.
Summary: Very buggy install. Worked for a couple of days then drive would not mount at all! Wait for better solutions to come to market and save your dough! Waste of time, energy and money! If you buy this product you deserve it!
Summary: Here is what I have found so far. 1) Does it play movies? Yes... with skipping, stuttering, and freezing from only five feet away on occassion 2) Does it create it's own wireless network? Yes... but if you use your browser to surf the files and play your movies, when you go back to your normal network... you have a good chance of finding the homepage of your browser hijacked permanently to the goflexsatellite homepage. After that...
Summary: This drive has performed beautifully, even through the firmware update and software backup configuring. It's been performing without one instance of dropped signal during detection, transfer of data or streaming of media to my Asus Transformer, Asus Netbook, HTC Incredible 2 all at once. They've done a great job and now a welcome addition to my drive arsenal.
Summary: There was such a buzz for this product--and certainly a need for something that will do what it is supposed: take your whole library of photos, videos, and music with you. I'm used to apple products which are basically plug and play (and on occasions require a little work to setup). And once you set up an apple product, it is clear sailing. This is clearly not an apple product. I had to go through hoops to get it to work.
Summary: Such a great idea...such a terrible product. Drag and drop your files from a mac onto the drive after installing the software? No problem, just takes FOREVER if you have a lot of media. Took the whole night for 300gb. This part I can live with. The part that is unacceptable is the device hanging up on EVERYTHING except the getting started tab.
