Cons: the only con I've come across with my QNAP NAS is when transferring a large amount of data, the rest of the system seems to bog down (significantly) and accessing other resources becomes a very painful task.
Summary: Extremely easy to set up. Remember, these DO NOT COME WITH DRIVES! You must buy 4 drives to install in the device. Setup is very easy from the web interface. Has decent sharing options. Wish it had iSCSI capability though.
Summary: Great NAS. This is my second QNAP. I also have a TS869-pro that works well. This one has four 2TB drives (WD green) and it works well enough for my needs. It is merely a dumping ground for a backup of backups.

Summary: The most affordable professional grade NAS (and believe me I spent months pricing them out). Great technical support and they actually answer the phone and seem eager to help you. Easily install 16TB and multiple RAID and HDD configurations. Solid NAS
Pros: Uses standard RAID configurations 0,1,5,6. It was extremely easy to setup and configure. The built in tools work seamlessly with all my wireless devices (iPad 2, iPhone 4s, and Nokia 920).
