Summary: I bought that for quite some time now, and still works perfectly! QNAP releases a new FW from time to time (wich means the product is well supported). As an example, my other Buffalo NAS has no new FW since 2010, and there is a lot of promisses from the vendor do update, but that's only it.
Fast and reliable, fully featured and an awesome price. One of my better purchases.

Summary: Make sure you update the Firmware to the latest version before anything else and use compatible hard-drives, which is common practice itself. Having done that, this absolutely deserves 5 stars.
Summary: Qnap NAS is the best available NAS in the market. I am using it with 4 x 2TB seagate Disks. Also i added another Raid enclosure through the esata port in the back and working fine. However, take care that qnap is compatible with a short list of external disk enclosures.
Summary: I have used this product for 1 week now but I am quite impressed with it already. This is a NAS SERVER so if you are looking for just a dumb (or RAID) disk enclosure then this will be an overkill (I recommend the Startech S354UFER (crazy name but great product) which is an excellent RAID enclosure).
Summary: I've wanted NAS primarily to better store (around 120gb) of my music, pictures, home videos and other documents that shouldn't sit around on a single drive. What prompted me to finally make the jump here was setting up a media center to be as quiet as possible (meaning no large HDD clicking away...
Summary: Not sure why there are so many bad reviews for this thing on newegg. people rave about it everywhere online and i love mine. It only makes me want to splurge and get one of the more high end ones...maybe if i win one of these sweepstakes or the lotto!
Pros: -Easy Setup -Looks great and i like that the drives can be locked in -Runs cool and quiet -Dual NICs for redundancy or other options -More features than I can handle! -Still getting new firmware updates and this has been out for a while -i can keep going but bottom line is that it is well worth t...
Cons: Price went down $40 the week after i bought it. Read and write speeds aren't all that great (running a RAID5 with 3 disks+1 hot spare) seeing about 20Mbps on both on a gigabit network. Speeds are more than enough to stream divx movies, music and install software over the network though
Summary: I purchased the TS-410 several weeks ago and have been very impressed with it. In terms of features it has everything I'm looking for and more. I enjoyed the setup process which was very straightforward and I'm glad to say very Mac friendly. I can't say enough about the web administration.
Summary: Having had this NAS for a while now, I'm extremely pleased. Most of the products that are out there and around this price range have big limitations somewhere (must use specific drive manufacturers, small RAID options, slow transfer speed, etc.).
