  • Summary: I bought this item in 2011. After more then a year of use I can tell you now, it's a very good piece of kit. I was just going trough my past orders on Amazon and I clicked on Qnap to see how much, if at all, it dropped in price and I noticed some reviews have been left for it.

rewster, Amazon

  • Summary: I bought this for keeping all my music on, and for backup. However, in the couple of years I have had it it has crashed and completely stopped working 4 times... Once it completely trashed the hard disk in it... When it does go wrong then the support is pretty terrible.

  • Summary: I regret I didn't order the two or even the four slots version but this, even if it is a single-disk version works great. Several applications are already installed and Operating System is well maintained. Additional application are also available for download, most of the free.

Good but...

Doddy81, Amazon
24 February 2010
  • Summary: This is a great NAS unit, using a 2.5 1TB disk the power consumption is about 8W at full load and less than 5 in normal conditions... The only issue I can find is that the unit is made of plastic so the fan runs much more than my other unit (a TS219-P that is made of sheet metal) because the heat...

  • Summary: Purchased this home network server on the basis of a few of the many features. It has been rock solid and very easy to set up and use. There is an excellent utility for adding additional software applications which are then easily integrated onto the server.
