Excellent Home NAS device, but don't plan to transcode on the fly

Summary: I purchased this item after going through quiet a bit of reading/research. Used the readynas site for user's input, which I found useful. When I pulled the trigger, I knew that it wasn't the unit that fit one need but hoped I could manage with it.
Summary: After losing one hard drive I've always been worried about future drives failing. You end up losing photos videos and personal documents that just can't be replaced. Data redundancy is something that every one should have any home solution. Netgear's readyNAS box accomplishes this.

Summary: I have put all of my CDs (300+), family pictures, movies, and am still only at 2% usage with 3 drives in this. The network access can periodically be spotty, but if you're persistent, it works well.
Summary: Quite once it is set up and fast to load videos compared to my other NAS. Instructions were limited for NAS with out drives preinstalled. I had a bad drive and it took a call to Netgear to figure it out. The add a drive function is great and easy to figure out.
