The Netgear ReadyNAS Ultra4 is a 4-bay storage with RAID 0, 1, 5 data protection, and is powered by a 1.66 GHz Intel® Atom™ single-core processor. It is supported by 1 GB DDR2 SODIMM and delivers over 80 MBps throughput. The NAS also includes two Gigabit Ethernet ports and three USB 2.0 ports on its 5.28 x 8.07 x 8.78 inch/10.35 form factor. The unit has a power consumption of 48W (with 4 x 2 TB) and utilizes Seagate® 2 TB LP drives, with system in idle state. It is compatible with a system with Microsoft® Windows® 7, Vista®, XP, 2000, Mac OS®, UNIX®, or Linux® operating system, LAN Ethernet port, Microsoft® Internet Explorer® 7.0+, Apple® Safari® 2.0+, Mozilla Firefox® 2.0+ or Opera® 9.5+ web browser.

Features

The Netgear ReadyNAS Ultra4 is a network attached storage device that supports X-RAID2™ auto volume expansion technology as well as multiple volume support for RAID 0, 1, 5, 6. It features built-in iSCSI target service, has CIFS/SMB for Windows®, AFP for Mac OS®, N FS for Linux® and UNIX®, HTTP/S for Web browsers and FTP/S Support browser protocols and is DLNA-certified, allowing users to stream to media players. The unit can also be used in tandem with Network DVD/Blu-ray players, game consoles, like Sony® PlayStation® 3, Nintendo® Wii and Microsoft® Xbox®, Xbox 360®; Music players, like Sonos® and Squeezebox™; TiVo® DVRs; and Skifta™ clients. The Netgear ReadyNAS Ultra4 also supports Orb and Air Video transcoding, Apple® iTunes® server and is supported by encrypted network logins and Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) security features. It has up to 90 MB/s read/write speeds.
