Summary: Worked at advertised. I have backed up about 2/3 of my 3 TB of data. Should be done soon. The DLNA server works very well to serve up movies, music and photos. I would recommend this unit to anyone looking for a NAS backup.
Summary: As a contract designer for NETGEAR, I was offered a ReadNAS 314 4-Bay Diskless Network Attached Storage unit for my use. The unit arrived with a 1 Terabyte HD in one of the drive bays so, upon set-up, I was able to start backing up my files.
Summary: This is a great NAS that is only let down slightly by Netgears OS 6. For reference, I own many Netgear NAS units going back to the old SPARC based NV+. While this is a review of the 314, I would be remiss to not mention my critical review of the ReadyNAS 104 and OS 6.
Super easy, compact NAS for home or small business.

Summary: I received my ReadyNAS 314 for free as a part of the Netgear Friends and Family program. This NAS is a fast and simple way to have great network storage for your home or small business. I received two 1TB drives with the unit and I added a third one of my own.
Good and need some more instructions since this is also sold for home market

Summary: I left 4 stars keeping in mind all users new to NAS. Day 15 of new readynas 314 product is good their manuals software are not that through if you are not a super pro in the NAS or networking arena you might struggle ofcourse google or readynas forum is the way. initial set up easy.
Summary: It's a nice NAS for the money. The only issue I have is the ReadyCLOUD does not always load so it is very easy to have that out of sync, I was hoping to replace Dropbox with that. I may look at other options in the future. I also have PLEX running and the performance is good.
Summary: I'm sure someone with more networking savvy could do greater things with this solution, but the ReadyNAS 314 is currently doing everything that I need it to do. It backs up all of my computers (including two using Time Machine), holds all of my documents, and serves music and video through Plex.
Summary: Wish Tier 3 would have a faster respond time. last time with battling Tech support via chat and phone took 7 days to get to tier 3 and that was 2 RMA units then come to find out it was the drive platters with the toshiba Drives.
Pros: Love the design, Thankful they got rid of the Toshiba Drives. loud awful with the Platters clanking.
Cons: Had it set for one network, Client Ended up Changing Service providers Went to change it over did a Factory Reset on it as they did not inform Upon setup they changed. Once Factory reset concluded. The Http/Https access would no longer work. Now waiting on tier 3 to contact and Remote in. Neeedle...
