Pros: Easy set up and works great for centralizing media to share on local network.
Cons: No built in USB port for backup. Built in Twonky DLNA server is finicky with video streaming. MP4's are no problem but AVI's are. Admin features could be better when setting up private and public folders for individual users. MyNas software is weak.
Summary: I can't believe something this powerful, with 4TB of space, can look so good and operate so simply. The dashboard makes using it a breeze, and even I, who's not very techy at all, was able to set things up so that all the kids have their own space and the machine saves electricity when it's not being used.
Summary: I tried using some of the roll-your-own cloud and streaming solutions out there, and after a while, it seemed I had signed up for a second job. The CloudBox took almost no time to set up and the software that it comes with is really easy to use, and it works the way it's supposed to. No more roll-your-own for me!
