Summary: I purchased the Iomega ix4-200d 4TB for an iSCSI server for VMware vSphere 4. Easy to set up, once you have your desktop on the same physical switch as the ix4-200d. It's discover protocol is not the best, but on the same switch it was found instantly. It is very, Very, VERY slow to create the iSCSI LUNs. Expect about an hour per 100gb to create. vCenter found the target instantly. The software initiator worked on the first try via the Dynamic Discovery.
Summary: This equipment has been working without interruption since I bought from this company. This unit is a very resilient one and abrupt shutdowns and bounces back in minutes. I use it for backing up documents and photos. I always backup these documents or photos in the cloud or some other offsite location. I'm in the process of learning how to operate this equipment, but every I discover new fascinated things about it. So far I love it.
Summary: Updated Aug 24, 2012: 1. The ix4-200d has been working without incident since I wrote this review. 2. The unit has handled firmware upgrades with aplomb. 3. The unit is very resilient to abrupt shutdowns and bounces back in minutes. 4. Iomega's free QuickProtect is a handy utility for automatically mirroring folders to a share (with versioning support). 5. I strongly advise against using RAID5 with this unit especially when storing critical data.
Pros: Bonne interface, Bonne qualité, Prix abordable
