I purchased this device to use with my Time Machine backups on my MacBook Pro. It worked great until I upgraded to OS X Lion. Apple changed the way they communicated with devices like the StorCenter. The concern is that Iomega has been quiet on saying if they will be releasing a firmware update for this device or not. Many other companies who provide NAS devices have released updates to make their devices compatible with Lion. Read more

I really liked the feature set, but given the noise and performance issues I'll be sending this NAS device back. The grinding sound when the unit wasn't supposed to be doing anything was driving me crazy, I had to unplug it stop it. Read more

Good one. It's running Debian 5.0 with a 2.6.14 32 bit kernel. I don't usually run dpkg or ipkg, so I'll have to bone up on that before I do any more for now.
