I found this device erratic and basically unusable - and support from iOmega poor
2 December 2011
Summary: I have found the box is basically unusable. I have had it set up for a week or so. Far more times than not, the iConnect software shows that the iConnect is not available on the network. Then, somehow, the iConnect will just appear. However, the problem doesn't stop there.
Works ok - right up until it crashes - happens EVERY time. Rubbish product

Summary: I read all the reviews for this device - could see there were problems with usage - but thought the problems reported were down to maybe setup or in-experience. I'm a software developer by trade, so thought perhaps I could set it up ok and live with some of its faults, as long as it could back up...
Summary: This is the most difficult piece of hardware I have ever encountered. I was initially put off by some of the reviews but, trying to be positive, I thought it cannot be that bad. It is! I struggled for two hours to get it set up.
Summary: Let me start by stating that I purchased this with the intention of using it in a 100% Mac environment, based on the fact that it supports Time Machine backups from OS X. My experience was one of disappointment.
Summary: Pleased with the speed of delivery. There the good comments end. Set-up is a nightmare. Pride myself on my IT skills and have spent nearly four hours trying to get this object to work on my wireless network. Instructions are next to useless. Trying to find a contact on Iomega website is impossible.
Summary: Arrived bricked. Will not work at all. Go and Google 'iconnect blue light' and you will see what I mean. Disappointed that something like that can be sold. Should be ZERO stars but Amazon made me give it at least 1.
Summary: Bought this so I could wirelessly connect my Drobo to the network for streaming and backups. Setup whilst connected via ethernet went smoothly and the device seemed to work very well. However, as soon as I tried to use it over WiFi the problems started.
If you want a print server, don't bother with this

Summary: Instructions make it sound easy to set up and in all fairness for sharing an external hard drive it is. However, if your main reason for purchasing this is to share a printer wirelessly then forget it, move on and buy something else. We have tried several configurations, none of them work.
