Summary: After much frustration, I finally had to return the product. It wasn't compatible with my version of Win 7 and requires the Pro version to configure as a Network drive. This tidbit was not mentioned in the advertised specs.
Summary: This was a pretty good NAS for my house. It is slow, but for backing up my files and having an extra place to store media, it did the job. I was not too impressed with the software and the software/firmware update process was a little too complicated (having to register with Iomega).
Summary: No Iomega with this one is far of offer a good product. Cons: slooooowww, even working on Gbit network The internal backup software sucks. You have no options on nothing than from where and to. No version control, no what control, no instant(sync) copy, nothing. For a product from EMC Corp.
Summary: i have spent a couple days triying to set up personal cloud , the software really does not have a link to it. it's really frustrating, just bougth the 2t. home network cloud edition [what cloud if there is no link] software only opens "iomega storage manager whit 6 folders which are not a problem...
Summary: I bought this to replace my 5 year old Iomega 1TB Home Media drive that stopped working. I had to return the first one shipped because of constant errors. I received constant messages that the drive path could not be found. When it would work, it was extremely slow. This second one still has issues.
Summary: I had a similar experience as others, where images I copied over to the Iomega hard drive arrived incomplete or completely corrupted. I'm a technology professional and I know enough to tell the difference between a solution and a project; and I have enough projects in my life right now.
Dependable Enough, But The Software Is A Glitchy Joke

Summary: I was running this on my original setup, an iMac with a Netgear router. I could not believe how slow the file transfers were, but I chalked this up to the netgear 10/100 speed router. Next phase...I bought an Apple Airport Extreme, got everything set up and recognized (for about 10 minutes).
Nice but difficult to setup for novice computer person.

Summary: I bought this in effort to be able to access files anywhere as described. Iomega don't give very good instruction on the setup. As a ATT U-Verse customer, the DSL router is not UPnP device which makes it more difficult to setup. I ended signing with TZO for domain which helped tremendously.
