Poor life expectancy in my experience having bought 3 similar iomega drives

Summary: This was my second or third Iomega unit to purchase. I purchased a total of 3 of these over time some but not recently. I had one at home and got this for office. The unit at home quit working. Now the one I have at office also failed. i would not recommend buying one of these. I think they run continuously or something. they just dont last and my online backup programs dont automatically backup these add on drives. Requires additional fee.
Summary: I never got it really up and running (and I have an IT background). Installer is badly programmed, does not really work on Mac and Linux. Android apps are non-functional. In the end, I took out the 2GB hard drive and used at as a plain removable hard disk over USB.
Product failed after just more than 1 year of owning

Summary: The product completely stopped working after the warranty period ended. Without warning and through no fault of mine this product just stopped working. It wouldn't turn on. I contacted Lenovo who has purchased Iomega and was told that there was nothing they could do. I would NEVER purchase a product from this company again. I am out $166 and very dissatisfied!!
Summary: I have had problem with this product and reached out to customer support from IOMega but they refuse to help. The problem started when I shutdown the drive and restarted. I cannot seem to access any of the data.
Summary: I own a 500 GB iomega external Hard drive, plus a 1 Trig, Plus a 2trig and now I own this turkey. I never needed customer service before so I kept ordering them. Now NO satisfactory customer service on this one at all. I bought a WD 2 trig and needed a little help getting it recognized and I got it. Iomega seems to want to play hide and seek. They got my money and that's all they seem to care about. Don't ever, ever trust them.
Summary: EDITED: COMPLETE UNIT FAILURE AFTER ONE YEAR, AND NO WARRANTY. I bought this for network backups only. I don't use all the features like internet web access to files, media sharing on your local network, and cloud storage. The device does come with bloatware that you install with the backup and management software. It can be deleted individually though. The backup software does its job well.
Summary: I was looking for nice and inexpensive backup and share solution for my family data including videos, music and pictures. Unit installation is easy and all computers can see it w/o problems. Problem start when my kids was trying to print pictures from this storage, almost all and for sure every other picture was corrupted or partially destroyed (only half of picture). I didn't see it earlier because all thumbnails was OK.
Summary: Bought this Network Drive because I have always liked Iomega....guess it is the name that snags me. This is a replacement for a 1TB Iomega network drive which failed. Five months after buying the 2TB drive it failed. Great customer service and replacement for the unit but no data recovery offered. That really does me no good. I have never had a hard drive fail in a computer (period) and have had two Iomega media drives die within two years that is inexcusable.
Summary: I purchased this product and installed the software (CD) on my computer as instructed. I called tech support and troubleshot the device and found the firmware on the device was out of date and is why the device could not be detected. They said I would have to by a thumb drive and download the new firware from their website and install it. After arguing about having to buy a thumbdrive to correct their error they mailed me a thumbdrive with the correct software.
Annoying customer service. partial refund for faulty item. Not Happy.

Summary: I was trying to use this product, but I was unlucky they send me faulty item after few months I came to know USB port are faulty, they didn't co-operate me and Amazon will take responsibility to give you partial refund, after that its your liability. If you want to buy this item check if USB port are working or not immediately. Customer service is annoying.
