Summary: They sent me the wrong item. I waited for 14 days to receive the item and come to find out it wasn't even what I had ordered. They seem like a good deal at the time of purchase but you get ripped off. I then called them and sat on hold forever.
Summary: Had my unit 24hours after 8 attempts at configuring with software provided it failed during configuration.my system Windows8.android 4.3 tablet and hauwei 533 modem. All popular well known brands with the previous complaints from other units I believe product should be withdrawn.
Summary: I had this for a matter of a few days. This drive turned out to be 5 times slower than my old system and every time I added files to the drive it scan the whole drive and this takes 48 hours to complete and during this time you cannot access or play any files and if you do it crashes the system. I have now sent this back and got a full refund........
Summary: UPnP Media Server fails to automatically update the media library; even when files are added through the application. Investigation shows this as a 'known bug' which at present isn't fixed. So effectively it operates as NAS, but only partially as a Media Server.
Summary: I bought this nas because it was from Dlink en and in comparing with other brands the price was very low. I regret that I bought this device because it is a really piece of junk. From the moment I uploaded files to the nas the nas started to work very slow. Accessing the files was very very slow. I mean very very very very very slow! Sometime it took minutes just to browse the folders on the nas. The webpage to manage the nas was also very slow.
Summary: After taking almost 20 hours to copy over 300gb of data, the fans never went off. the box was to slow to stream a low res (600mb) video. Really very poor device, my 7 yr MYBOOKWORLD is a far better piece of kit.
Summary: The equipment is not easy to set up. If you follow the instructions you will get nowhere. Networking knowledge is needed to get this thing going. DLink customer support is garbage, and you will probably be ignored unless you are a corporate user (in which case why are you buying this item?). The item itself may be fine, but I can't tell because the software is so obtuse.
