Summary: Adding this storage box to my small home office network has been surprisingly easy. I needed a storage which I could back up my work files as well as personal files in one place for easier access and management and this box did it for me. I could have bought a cheaper model but I needed something robust and reliable. I am pretty satisfied.
Summary: I was looking for a large NAS enclosure to build a large volume to store all my media...I first ordered a Thecus N4100EVO, what a pain. After a couple weeks of beating my head against the wall and getting nowhere, downloading Thecus How-To guides as a last resort that didn't even match the web interface, and getting absolutely NO response from Thecus Tech Support (it has now been nearly a month and still no response)...I sent it back, and ordered this D-Link DNS-345...
Summary: Instead of purchasing another USB hard drive, decided to invest some money to centralize my data. Very easy to configure. High quality performance using the Gigabit port. In addition to data connection, am able to stream media files to devices throughout my house without an issue. The main purpose is for backup our data. It works well for me.
Summary: I purchase this DNS-345 as a replacement for my old DNS-323, and I was amazed by the performance. I liked the new Interface and features. With 4 bays built a RAID10 for more security. I will definilty recommand this NAS.
Summary: Arrived in a few days, perfectly packed. Very easy to set up and it has plenty of functionalities. I managed quite easily to configure the backup with the mac using TimeMachine. Only down side, the D-link set up utility crashes a couple of time on Mac, so I ended up set it up on Windows. Once done the web interface works fine with any OS.
