Works reasonably well with Memeo Software. Support is beyond attrocious.

Summary: I own two Buffalo TeraStation Pro II's. The devices work reasonably well with the supplied Memeo software. However, support from Buffalo is among the worst I've ever received. They are rude, arrogant, and obnoxious on the phone. Here's an example of one instance: one of my TeraStation's did not come with the required registration code for the supposedly included (and required) Memeo backup software.
Summary: See my review for the 2TB version of this product. In a nutshell - this NAS product doesn't support NFS, which makes it unsuitable for many NAS environments including Unix (although you can limp along with Linux SMB support) and VMware. Plus it's overpriced. Look at the Promise SmartStor alternative (NetGear ReadyNAS NV+ is almost 2x expensive and is less capable than Promise - ATA-150 instead of ATA-300).
Summary: I had to return mine. I should have done more research first, but was shocked to discover it doesn't support NFS, which is critical for Unix connectivity (particularly non-Linux, since Linux can limp along with the SMB connectivity). Too bad - it was quiet and had a nice admin interface, but it's both more expensive and less capable than the Promise SmartStor equivalent product (you have to add your own disks to the Promise, but how hard is that?
