Summary: Perfect for VMWARE or Oracle DBs. We've trunked the LAN connections and get blazing speeds out of it. Sometimes it gives a little problem when rebooting and setting up the IPs, but if you dork with it long enough it works fine. I've bought 5 of these now...they all work excellent!
Summary: Used this product for 9 computers that have a shared folder for nothing but storage. Had an old server that was there doing the same thing but software issues were making accessing a problem and was starting to have issues with the shared folder. Installed this item and recreated the network and mapped everyone to it with no problems.
Summary: I bought this product from my supplier, but I wanted to leave some feedback for this product - for future purchasers. At first, I was concerned and felt I might of made a bad move with this product. I was wrong. Let me explain.. I bought this unit for Business purposes. I use Backup Exec, and wanted to use 'Backup to Disk' option to backup our company's data w/ this unit. I had plans to use it's ISCSI feature, and put it on our network directly via Gigabit Ethernet.
Summary: The Buffalo Terastation 5200 is a very poor and buggy product, totally unfit for use in an office environment.
