Quick and easy to setup, not a bad user interface, could do with a few more advanced file and folder permisssions

  • Summary: Out the box the unit feels a bit light and plasticy, but then again it is just a plastic box with a board in it. Was easy to fit the two 3TB drives into it.

  • Excerpt: купил чтобы качать торенты, Качает на скорости до 9 МБ/сек. Подрубил еще к нему и расшарил принтер Epson R2400, Все рабоатте отлично, доволен.

  • Summary: Была установлена прошивка 1.0.1.89 (transmission не был установлен) хотя на сайте Asus только старенькая 1.0.1
  • Pros: Железо на уровне — быстрый процессор 1200Мгц, 512 Мб оперативной памяти, функционал расширяется установкой ipkg приложениями.
  • Cons: Не совсем корректный перевод. PС утилита от Asus так и не нашла подключенный NAS, все настраивал через web интерфейс

  • Summary: "любителям асуса посвящается"! Это одна из первых моделей в сетевых хранилищах, поэтому и не совсем удачная!
  • Pros: "Богатая" комплектация от Asus, эргономичный дизайн. Дополнения расширяют функционал, но убивают быстродействие!
  • Cons: скорость отдачи при линейном чтении — низкая и не превышает 18-20 мб/сек.

  • Excerpt: Twonky и FTP не пользую, разок поигрался, и все. WEB-интерфейс - раз в месяц. Подключен к UPS, умеет сам корректно выключаться по разряду батарей.
  • Pros: При использовании в качестве именно NAS - все отлично. Месяцами стоит и работает, не требуя вмешательств. Torrent круглосуточно, но без фанатизма.
  • Cons: Охлаждение продумано плохо. У меня стоит без корпуска с винчестерами вертикально - температура максимум до 47 поднимается, вентилятор не включается никогда.
