"Works... sometimes..."

  • Pros: When the units are connected it works resonably well.
  • Cons: Works, some times.. I have 3 devices. Two are very close to the electrical panel. They stay connected. The third unit a floor farther away. It drops off regularly and takes minutes to hours to reconnect. I switched them around. Same result.

  • Cons: Non that i have found so far. Cost is reasonable considering what it would cost to run cable.

"Better hope nothing goes wrong"

DickStone, CNET
16 January 2010
  • Pros: Don't know. Never got it working.
  • Cons: I had the bad luck to call their help line (2 hr). First person didn't know the product. Second 'Expert' pointed me to another line. Other line send me back to first. Superviser offered to sell me an additional product that works for an extra $100!

"Simple Ethernet using your house electrical wiring."

jmdobbs88, CNET
1 January 2010
  • Pros: Simple plug and play setup. Fast connection (faster than wireless), great for streaming video, perfect for getting your TV or Blu-ray player hooked up to the internet.
  • Cons: Haven't come across one yet. It's a bit pricey I suppose, but cheaper and less of a hassle than pulling cable. It's really a good value for what it does and for it's ease of setup.

"Awesome device"

djcovarrubias, CNET
4 June 2009
  • Pros: Bought at the store, plugged it in, and it works. No drivers to download, software to install, just plug and go in the internet. Expanded it with a PLE300 for the computer downstairs, where the wireless signal wouldn't reach. Very satisfied.
  • Cons: The PLK300 is available in store. The PLE300 isn't, had to buy online.

"PLK300 uses your electrical outlets to enable internet"

Bogeyson, CNET
11 February 2009
  • Pros: The PLK300 is different from other powerline adapters because it allows you to connect up to 4 devices and only taking up one electrical outlet. You will not need a computer to setup the adapters.
  • Cons: The price is a little high compared to other products but the benefit of having 4 devices connected to the internet through one device is worth it.
