Summary: Works well, easy to set up and use, however is not a plug and play type of product, so does require a basic knowledge of wireless network setup to install. That being said, is one of the easier modem/routers I have worked with. Have had zero problems or glitches since initial setup. Very pleased with product.
The Actiontec 4-Port Wireless Router, Looks Good and Works even Better.

Summary: I bought the Actiontec Q1000 4-port Gigbit Wireless N Router, Because I needed to replace a older Century Link Router. The new Q1000 was easy to install and has been working fine since it was installed. How long it will continue to do so, Only time will tell. My first Router lasted for 5 years and then the little electronic engineers went on strike and refused to work any more. This is my third router and based on my experenice with them, I would buy another one.
Summary: The modem works (I believe) like brand new. It has given no problems to this point. I have only had it working online for a day. I highly recommend this DSL modem. I was a little technically challenged with getting it up and running, but CenturyLink was a big help. It took a little effort to bring it online, but it wasn't $175.00, either.
A great modem with consistent VDSL speed and great router functionality.

Summary: I bought this product because I moved from a rental home with a regular ADSL line with Century Link/Qwest where I used my M1000 modem into a different rental with a VDSL line also with Century Link/Qwest. As a result, I donated my old M1000 modem for someone else to pick up for cheap at a second hand store.
Works, get it used, save a bunch of money, buy pizza and booze to celebrate

Summary: I bought this product used off of ebay. I tend to find that is a particularly good strategy for modems, especially if you are moving frequently, and your new internet provider requires a different one, or perhaps your new roommate already has one. In addition to saving some money right off the bat, since you bought it used, you can resell it used for the same price: win. Even over a three month period, it beats leasing one for $10/month, or even $5/month.
Summary: I bought this router to replace the one I was renting from Century Link. It works just as well as the rental, so far after a month of usage, I'm very happy with the same quality as the rental one it replaced.
