I have been using the Samsung N130 for some time now and, while having an aging Atom processor, it still is powerful enough for my every-day usage. The N130 is a light netbook which usually has 1GB RAM and a 160GB hard drive. Apart from an SD memory cards slot, there are no external media drives (even a CD ROM drive), to further decrease the size and weight of the device. If you're looking for a cheap, no-frills netbook that's well-built, the 10.1in Samsung N130 does the job. Do keep in mind though that it doesn't offer the features of pricier models, such as HDMI-out or video acceleration. Read more

I purchased the N-130 used via Amazon. Having some experience with Linux, I tried many live CD's using a Lexar s50 8Gb jumpdrive, which is a usb stick that this netbook happily recognizes as a boot source if the BIOS is configured correctly. Non-ubuntu live cd's such as Fedora 15 & Debian 6 as well as Puppy Linux 5.2.8 did not appear to recognize the Realtek Wifi and so Internet access was not possible (easily anyway). Read more
As an overview the Samsung N130 is 10.7" x 7.4" x 1.2" and weighs 2.6 pounds. It is a netbook computer and has a retail cost of around £200.00. It has a small and compact shape with round eges and the battery and the far back of the netbook raises it around a quarter of an inch. With an Atom N270 processer, the netbook is ideal for surfing the web and emailing but it tends to be a bit on the sluggish side when having to cope with a lot of applications. Read more
I got it on xmas 2009 and it it didnt take long to set up but when i first used it the netbook started zooming in and out when i did not make it so that annoyed me alot . then 4 or 5 mounths past the screen hold on plastic clips started falling off and that started happening more frequently so i got fed up about that. the wifi in my n140 doesnt seem to be working ive tried deleting the atheros and reistalling it fresh i recently had another bt home hub that made no diffrence it only seems to work next to my modem could it be my hub or my netbook
