With great battery life, a bigger keyboard and an enlarged trackpad, the N120 represents a worthwhile upgrade to the NC10. It's main downfall--which costs it a star in our final verdict--is Samsung's decision to include a glossy screen. Read more
The Samsung N120 could boast with welcome detail innovations in a few areas, but allows itself to take a grave step backwards just exactly at the most important interface to the user - the display. Especially pleasing are the good sound emissions, the higher battery life with, at the same time, a lower weight, the improved (because bigger) keyboard and the pleasant low noise level. In return, Samsung's renunciation from the NC10's good display to an obviously poorer... Read more
The N120 comes loaded with a lot of expansion ports; it offers three USB 2.0 ports, ethernet, headphone, microphone, a VGA port, and a 3 in 1 card reader. It also comes with Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g and Bluetooth 2.0 with EDR. The Wi-Fi data transfer speeds are pretty good, much in line with other netbooks at about 20 MBps. We just love this thing. The brightness of the screen is great, the sound is decent and the webcam is good. The keyboard was my main concern and this is excellent. Battery life is very good. Be aware that notebooks, especially with the Atom processer are a bit slower on the internet then a laptop or desktop, but much faster then a Iphone. Since it is so small, we use this on vacations as it is very easy to pack and carry, one of the best purchases we have made in the... Read more
