At first glance, the MSI Wind U123 looks to be just a restyled update of the Wind U100, a 2008 model that was one of the first 10.2-inch netbooks. Most of the changes are appreciated but not spectacular: The MSI Wind U123 sports a restyled chassis, as well as the slightly faster Intel Atom N280 processor that was introduced on the Asus Eee PC 1000HE. • Superb battery life, Comfortable keyboard, Supports 802.11n wireless networking, Stylish case design, Inexpensive

While the MSI Wind U123 looks identical to the older U120 , MSI has updated this 10-inch netbook with Intel’s newest Atom N280 processor, which provides slightly improved performance. Also, the U123 sports a new nine-cell battery, which, while making it heavier than most other netbooks, provides more than 8 hours of runtime, earning it the title of the longest-lasting netbook on the market. At $379, the MSI Wind U123 is easily one of the best netbook bargains around. Read more

In the end, the MSI Wind U123 will receive compliments on its sleek looks from coffee-shop hipsters. After all, the U123's exterior is eye-catching - even sexy, considering the glossy deep-blue finish of our review model. Look a little closer, however, and this netbook rates as fairly average. Both run Windows XP Home Edition, and both carry 1GB of RAM, a webcam and mic, and in essence everything else, except the MSI Wind U123 features a bulbous nine-cell battery and the 1.6GHz Intel Atom N280 processor (versus the U100's N270 CPU). In short, same stuff, different day. Read more

My wife bought it to do her email and surf the net. She likes the portability and battery charge is OK. When keying in, the letters are entered all over the document. The biggest problem is that the Internet connection may have to be "Repaired" 3 to 6 times for each email being written due to no connectivity. Our Other machines do not have this problem and are in the same room. Last- try to get MSI tech support. Read more

This is my first netbook, so I'm not sure about it's weight compared to others, and how the wireless and bluetooth cards are set up. A few of the cons are just things I thought of as annoying, but for the most part, I bought it because it IS a netbook. Read more

I do like this little laptop. Delivery was FAST. Only issues are: The battery seems to disconnect easily, when you grab it from the case or bump it in a certain way, and the case it came with is almost too small. Read more
