See lessWhere a small amount of disappointment seeps into the bubble of HID happiness is the trackpad, which is a little too small for our taste. Though it does track accurately at default settings, it’s easy to skip over your mouse target as the acceleration has to be so high to cover the screen real estate. Once again, it’s one of those things you’d need to get used to when using the Wind on a regular basis. Read more
It'll be very hard to actually find a fault with the MSI Wind. Honest, I'm not joking. Having played with both the Asus EeePC 1000 and the MSI Wind, I would say that both of them are very similar. The only thing which I can think of, which could affect consumers decision is the 3-Cell battery. Although it gives 2-3 hours of continuous use, I would have prefered it to be a 6-Cell battery ... which Asus have included in their newer EeePCs. The build quality of the MSI Wind... Read more
Grown-Up Mini Packs More Than Your Tween's Laptop HP 2133 Mini-Note PC $749 Roomy keyboard and nice looks, but too expensive, hot to the touch, and loud. Asus Eee PC 901 $599 Formerly innovative Eee PC simply outclassed by its cheaper competition, minis with more storage and sharper design. CTL 2go PC $579 Just not serious enough for us. Chunky, scholastic feel, and tiny keys seem designed for toddlers or Hobbits. Leave this one to the Shire. Packing the latest 1.6-GHz... Read more

The MSI Wind U100 is one of the best netbooks available on the market now sporting some of the most desired configurations that other manufacturers haven't been able to match (*cough Lenovo 6 cell batteries*). Across the web it's been critically acclaimed. The only missing option is a solid state drive or WWAN. Read more
Lightweight and fast with plenty of power. I installed Microsoft Office and have no problem running the programs. I am also able to do presentations on an overhead projector. But when I do that, because of the wide, low shape of the screen; the display is reduced to only a small part of the screen. This problem would be the same for any laptop with a wide screen. Pros: VERY light. I used to own an HP Pavilion dv6000 (terrible comp, stay away at all costs) and it was such a pain to lugg around. Certainly better than a desktop, but only by so much. This Wind notebook is as cumbersome as a 300 page or so paperback book. I hardly notice it. Aside from this, the combination of XP, 1Gb of RAM, and the 1.66 Ghz processor allow the Wind to run very smoothly. I haven't had a problem yet with programs or video lagging. (Mind you, I haven't... I've used this little gem for about 10 months now, and I love it! I travel a lot and used to carry a full-size laptop--this really lightens the load. I have never had a problem with it; it was incredibly easy to set up VPN for work use on the go. Web pages display perfectly on the screen and there is plenty of HD space. the keyboard is nicely sized for such a small package, but does take a little time to get used to. I use it with mobile broadband, and the wireless in... Read more or see product
