List All 2 PricesThe netbook category of laptops didn’t even exist until about a year ago, but it’s already grown surprisingly cutthroat. Major manufacturers don’t want to be cut out of the action that companies like Acer (with its Aspire One, MSI (with the Wind U100, and especially Asus (with, among many other variants, the EeePC 1000H) are currently dominating. Until now, however, HP has made the strongest showing of the big boys, with its 2133 Mini-Note PC. Read more
After months of rumors, Dell enters the mini-notebook market with its long-anticipated Inspiron Mini 9. Dell took its time releasing its own netbook, and it is clear they spent the extra days and hours getting (nearly) everything just right. With a small footprint, sleek industrial design, 1.6-GHz Intel Atom processor, and a tailored version of Ubuntu (it’s also available with Windows XP) the Inspiron Mini 9, starting at $349, has all the specs to make it one of our... The Dell Inspiron Mini 910 uses the usual netbook format with an 8.9 inch display and a resolution of 1024x600 pixels . The width of the screen under this format is sufficient, and it can serve well for the most common uses. A multitude of websites are still optimized for a screen width of 1024 pixels. Read more

Dell has also removed the function keys F1 through F10, and the actions they perform are now located on the home key row. F11 and F12 have been left off which makes screen changing impossible, but probably not as much of a priority in a netbook. Read more
Netbooks are an interesting bunch. On one hand, the enthusiast loses a lot of performance, but it seems the average user doesn't care. My sister has been using the netbook as a laptop for a few weeks now and I haven't heard any complaints. The internet is fast, applications like Word and Excel run well, and the screen is just big enough. And I think that's where it fits in the scale of things - for an enthusiast, its another device to have in your arsenal. Read more
Dell's attempt at the netbook market has two major failings that can both be traced back to the choice of an SSD drive: slow write speeds and not enough permanent storage. Apart from that, it manages to pack a pretty strong punch inside a well-designed shell, but it's still not quite as good as some of the Asus 901 ... Read more
The Dell Mini 9 is fun, but suffers from a few flaws that keep it firmly in an earlier generation of netbooks. It seeks a balance between the bare-bones style of the earliest netbooks and feature-packed modern netbooks like the Eee PC 1000HE . Unfortunately, this may just mean it’s too expensive for the true budget buyers and too weak for people who want a more luxurious PC companion. However, it will appeal to those of us with a taste for the in-between. Read more
We all know that Dell has been working on Netbook like laptop with the same kind of low-power, small and inexpensive system made by Asus through the Eee PC line. There are not a lot of surprises the Dell Inspiron Mini 9. The form is excellent and there aren’t any deal breakers either. I would certainly recommend this system for frequent travelers. Read more
Without doubt, the Dell Inspiron Mini 9 is easily the nicest looking netbook on the market so far, and its performance scores show it's no slouch when it comes to crunching numbers. Despite its small footprint, it has a decent-size keyboard and provided you can live with the function keys being relegated to a secondary location, it's a good compromise. On the downside, its SSD drive is not only small but also a bit on the slow side. Read more
Same problem as others have mentioned here, died and can't reload operating system. Of course, two years out of warranty. Main purpose for buying was the SSD and my motorcycle travels. Felt without a regular HD, I'd be safe. Was for two years, and it worked great during that time, but now it's useless, unless I want to spend big $$ to get it fixed, and it's probably not the hard drive giving the problem. Read more
I got this product for Christmas last year and I have loved it ever since. This is an easy to use, practical, and portable device. Also it is very stylish with when you buy it being able to choose the colour you want from; Blue, Pink, Red, Green, White and black, making your device both stylish and useful. Also, netbooks are designed for being portable, easy to use and surfing the web, and I speak for everyone when I say I know when I say it does all that perfectly. Read more
The Dell Inspiron Mini 9 (DNPCXW3) PC Notebook is a decent overall notebook. Like almost everything these days, it has some great features and others that leave you scratching your head. Pros --works as advertised --easy to use --better than nothing Cons --could be cheaper --next year's upgrade will be better --useless features probably increased costs Overall, the Dell Inspiron Mini 9 (DNPCXW3) PC Notebook will please some and disappoint others.
