Easy to Play

JD, Yamaha
20 May 2013
  • Summary: Novice when it comes to the recorder, but pleasantly surprised at how easy it is to play. Just recently rediscovered the recorder and found out that the bell detaches from the barrel. Very surprised indeed. So even though it comes in a bag as a singularly constructed instrument, you can detach. Also found that this was useful in trying to play the C note. Since I was able to adjust the bell, the C note is played clearer with no noticeable squeaks/leaks... very satisfied.
  • Pros: Consistent, Easy Tone Production, Fun To Play

Well priced Yamaha Descant recorder for beginners or casual music enthusiasts

  • Excerpt: So on my recent visit to family in Ireland, I discovered that my niece is learning to play the Tin Whistle and in a moment of weakness I admitted to her that I used to play the recorder while growing up. This of course elicited plenty of pleas for me to play with her and eventually led to me purchasing this Yamaha Descant recorder.

An excellent first recorder.

  • Excerpt: As a child I used to play the recorder in Junior School. I was quite an accomplished player (sounding a bit olde fashioned now) playing three different sizes, Descant, Treble and Bass I believe. The one I played the most was the Descant and it was something I thoroughly enjoyed and was encouraged in by my Mum who believed it would help my Asthma.

  • Excerpt: Honestly not very expensive, do not exaggerate, it's worth the 7 € 50. The problem is these fingerings a little, I took the Baroque, it is not simple.

  • Excerpt: That motion and nostalgia, jvien to find my flute that I had to tite collge being zik. Magnificent. Cot is impeccble design: white plastic trs good taste, impeccable ergonomics. The sound is satisfactory (although it is only a nose flute) and I surprised even replay a few pieces (9 years later and I is not lost! C as v lo has not forgotten).

" Bonne affaire! "
