Yamaha YEP-321

  • Summary: Great horn. My school one is an ancient lacquer horn, prob from the 70s or early 80s. Only problems are the inevitable dents, iffy valves (you dont want to see them, it makes me shudder), and my leadpipe was almost bent in half next to the bell... but the horn still works and sounds great. My high range is pathetic (top F on a good day, otherwise top Bb) but this horn still speaks them out.
  • Pros: Good sound, lasts forever, fourth valve
  • Cons: Valves get slow, small shank

  • Summary: The Yamaha YEP-321 is a great step-up horn for those youngsters who want to continue their pursuit on euphonium. Four Valves to increase range, It has superior Intonation, and for those younger, clumsier Euphonium players, It's durable. Some negative aspects include the fact it's small shank, the horn will need constant oiling at least every week, and the responsiveness is somewhat iffy. Overall, it's a great horn.
  • Pros: 4 Valves, Great Intonation, Durable
  • Cons: Small Shank Receiver, Constant Oiling, Responsiveness

  • Summary: The Yamaha YEP-321 is the best horn for any middle or high school student who wants to be that first chair player. It has superior intonation and It's an excellent solo instrument. However due to it's small shank, I'd have to give it a 9 out of 10. Overall, a great horn and the price is 0.00 because I rented it from my High School.
  • Pros: Great Tone, Great Intonation, Plays in tune in the upper and lower registers
  • Cons: Small Shank

Absolut solide verarbeitung. Kleiner Nachteil nach ca.
