Solid performer with exceptional sounds

Doc Barnes, Yamaha
25 March 2013
  • Summary: Overall, this stage piano is an admirable compromise to the CP5 in terms of portability and professional sound selection. I use this as my main gigging stage piano for its portability and its great piano and electric piano (Rhodes). I would like to see Yamaha add string resonance and unlock the strike position for the acoustic piano sounds in a future software update.
  • Pros: Portable, Quality Build, Realistic Sound, Responsive / Good Action, Touch Sensitive Keys
  • Cons: No String Resonance, Strike Position Locked

  • Excerpt: See the Yamaha website UTILIZATION The keyboard is quite nice But I wanted a lighter touch on the firmer pianissimo and fortissimo on the way I feel right on my piano (sometimes I feel the opposite on the CP50)

" Amazing! "

4 July 2010
  • Excerpt: Piano digital modeling and synthesis AWM expensive Yamaha. 88 keys, keyboard "graded hammer" formidable precision, a small notch below its bigger brothers, with a touch "synthetic ivory" super comfortable, but a keyboard knows them

" Très bon piano de scène "

Davy78, Audiofanzine
12 August 2012
  • Excerpt: Le CP50 est bien adapté à un usage scènique, des potards en nombre pour ajuster les réglages, pas mal de sons en plus du piano, ça le rend assez polyvalent.
