Very good.

  • Summary: No complain at all. My son loves it. He feels more comfortable comparing with another strap together with sax we rent before.

I have this and I love it!!

Dana Helmreich, amazon.com
30 October 2011
  • Summary: I've been plying alto sax for 4 years, and before I bought this I was just using the cheap one that comes with the saxophone. It hurt my neck so much! Then I got this, and it's so much more comfortable. The cushioned neck pad is really soft, and very padded.

Best Neck Strap Ever

Brian S. Ransom "Brian", amazon.com
18 October 2011
  • Summary: I have owned a lot of neck straps and I think this is the best one. The string doesn't slip at all and the pad is comfortable and NOT stretchy. Still not too sure about the curly hook, but I like it better than all the alternatives.

Great product

Sister Mary, amazon.com
8 August 2011
  • Summary: I bought this padded strap for a small framed preteen boy that plays alto sax. When I opened the package I thought " oh this is sooo big". When I gave it to the little man, he loved it, tried it and said it was sooo much more comfortable than the unpadded neck strap he has been using. He said with a big smile "now my neck won't hurt anymore! It's a lot nicer than anyone elses." This truly made a hit with a 72 pound 12 year old!

great strap, worth buying

cactus54, amazon.com
27 July 2011
  • Summary: The strap feels great around the neck. It's smooth and, so far, hasn't had a problem with soaking up sweat (though, I can't say for certain about that second part). In terms of how this strap affects the instrument's performance, I'm glad to say that it can go tight enough to get the sax in the optimal playing position. In the past I've had problems with straps being too loose a fit, causing the sax to hang too low while I was playing, and stifling out the sound.

My neck says thank-you!

Alicja K. Lanfear, amazon.com
3 April 2011
  • Summary: This is an amazingly comfortable strap. I read the overwhelmingly positive reviews here before purchase, but I was still pleasantly surprised at how good this strap is when it arrived. It is so comfortable that at times I even forget that I have my saxophone with me... definitely a hazard :) Purchase this, you won't be sorry you did!

Must Have

Mark, amazon.com
6 March 2011
  • Summary: A must have if you will be playing you sax more then 15 minutes. The padded neck strap takes the pressure off of the neck making it easier to play for a longer period of time.

Comfortable and easy to adjust

Edward F. Shimkus, amazon.com
30 January 2011
  • Summary: Straps come in all sorts of designs which I boil down to materials, ergonomics, and adjustments. The Rico uses a chamois/velvet-like material against the neck or shirt depending on one's dress. This material is both soft, to avoid chaffing, and slip resistant. The inner layer consists of about a one-half inch of foam padding which cushions and spreads the weight of the instrument over a large area, i.e., it does not dig into the neck.

Great Sax Strap!

Tucker, amazon.com
6 January 2011
  • Summary: My son is an alto sax beginner complaining of discomfort from his soft, padded strap. At the advise of our local instrument repairman we purchased this Rico strap. This is the ONLY strap to have! Not only is it very comfortable, the S-hook makes instrument positioning and switching very easy. It holds the instrument securely in place and the sides will not stretch and sag like many other straps do.

comfy and easy to use

J. Lee, amazon.com
17 December 2010
  • Summary: This is for my son who plays alto sax. I bought 3 different sax strap for him and this one is best for him. It is not good for marching band, but for concert or regular inside playing.. very comfy and easy to use.
