Excellent product, one of the best midi controllers out there!

Summary: I love the APC40 as it gives you such control over Abelton Live, making the mouse almost absolute. Very intuitive controls, and the lighting system helps you know the exact settings you are working with. I highly recommend this controller to anyone who uses Abelton Live, or needs a midi controller to use for their DAW of choice.
Summary: This exactly what controller supposed to be like. Perfect control over Ableton while playing live. Bought it for practice playing my music live, the APC40 gives an endless options in syncing, modifying and mixing many different tracks with audio and midi alike. Bought it on some kind of sale for 279$, worth every cent. I saw that its average price is around 379$ which is still not too bad for what you get.
Summary: If you're looking to buy this item, chances are you have already done some of your own research in what this device does. 2 thumbs up here! I have become an instant fan. Love the way these plug n play devices work. Very sturdy and yet still light enough to just throw into a gig bag and be off.
Summary: The Akai APC40 is great for live usage. If you need to have your hands more free from the mouse of your computer, the APC makes it easy to trigger your clips, pan channels, and slide volumes. Also, the way Ableton has MIDI mapping set up makes changing the mapping on this SO much easier than any other controller I've used. I literally cant think of any negatives to using this controller. I would recommend this product to any serious Ableton user.
Takes your Abeltoning to a new level, it's the beezneeeeez!

Summary: An incredible tool for anyone looking to significantly expand their capabilities in Abelton. I have been messing around with Abelton for nearly a year, and as a hobbyist also mixing sets with a Hecules RMX-4 controller. While I love creating long sets and mixing in music and sounds from numerous genres, I am no DJ and I enjoy the production aspect a lot more.
