Just Another Disposable Printer - Life Span Approximately 1000 sheets

Jim, office.xerox.com
  • Summary: PRO: Seemingly durable mechanisms, installation set up relatively easy, fast wake up, fast print, wonderful print quality. Printed roughly 1000 sheets in color mode and still have all three original color cartridges, just recently changed out the original black cartridge. Seemed to use toner conservatively. Overall initial impression of this unit leads the user to believe that this is a quality machine knocking out quality prints and copies! u2026u2026u2026u2026u2026.

Bad Pre-Setup

Greg B., Newegg
19 June 2014
  • Summary: Perhaps. Unclear of my opinion as of yet.
  • Pros: Great price on Xerox product.
  • Cons: This product came with all of the "Pull Tabs" for the waste toner and toner cartridges sticking out of the side of the printer. When we pulled out the toner cartridge tabs, the yellow toner tab was jammed. It only came out half way and I had to remove the entire drum assembly.

Good Multipurpose machine

  • Summary: We use this in a mixed mac and windows environment. Works well with both platforms. Toner cartridges are priced well and you don't need a lot of storage space for them

DOES NOT WORK ON WINDOWS 8.1

CD, office.xerox.com
18 March 2014
  • Summary: Bought this printer directly from the Xerox store. When purchasing, I was concerned about its use on Tablets, Windows 8 and the fax function. I asked the sales person about these three specific things and was satisfied with the answers given, especially when I spent approx. 30-50 minutes on the phone.

Xerox 6507

Dr W., Newegg
15 February 2014
  • Summary: Be mindful, this is a heavy printer. Check to make sure your table can handle the weight ... the double sided printing of this unit saves gobs of time!
  • Pros: I took this out of the box (two sets of hands required!) plopped it onto the table, zipped the shipping tabs out (and there were LOTS!), powered it up, set it up for the network and phone system and POOF! I was up in running, Total install time, 20 mins. Setup was intuitive.
  • Cons: None ... it is a great workhorse.

User Review

ASUSpro, NCIX.com
20 January 2014
  • Summary: If you don't need a color printer, don't buy this. The black toner cartridge is small compare to other printers at the office. The paper tray is extremely small. It cannot even fit one pack of paper.
  • Pros: great color
  • Cons: too big, paper tray way too small, toner cartridge is small

Black toner cartridges do not last nearly as long as they are supposed to

Susan CPA, office.xerox.com
17 January 2014
  • Summary: I am a CPA and print a relatively high number of pages daily. This printer is costing a fortune in black toner cartridges. I have printed 5,477 pages so far and it has already gone through the initial black cartridge that came with the machine, 2 High Capacity new ones @ $110 each, and is halfway through a fourth. My HP did not eat up toner cartridges like this.
