Scanner/Copier (fax) quit working after 1 year 2 months

Jacob L., Newegg
19 July 2014
  • Pros: Worked wonderfully the first year. Used daily for printing multiple page invoices, scanning documents to email for customers, as well as making copies.
  • Cons: 2 months out of warranty and the scanner no longer works properly. The scan reader moves as it should, but does not scan. Now, all I have is a over sized printer that will not scan, copy, or send a fax.

don't do it

DR S., Newegg
13 June 2014
  • Pros: It was cheap?
  • Cons: It pulls multiple pages when printing and also when scanning. It is really slow to start. Things won't fax there that fax on first attempt with our other all in one. I can't believe its highly rated, its a complete disappointment across the board.

About as good as it can get

Nick H., Newegg
16 May 2014
  • Summary: Purchased for a customer's home office. What should have been a 15 minute setup took me about an hour due to how xerox has setup their hardware. It isn't a bad thing though as I have worked with similar stuff in the past, just don't expect scanning to be as plug and play as you'd like. The software included isn't really the easiest solution as well.
  • Pros: Twain is a pro and a con here. The printing is excellent, the scanning is not so much. This is a twain support machine so there are tons of ways to connect to scanning here. Unfortunately the default software may be something a lot of office IT people have a difficult time setting up the first time.
  • Cons: I only docked this by 1 egg as the instructions for setting up network scanning are terrible. In fact, with the software cd's that came with my printer and the online instructions, it is impossible to set this up. All I did was set a static IP and download a free open source twain compatible scanner interface and was done.

Prints well, scans ok, very bad software

mathew b., Newegg
27 February 2014
  • Summary: There are no windows 8 drivers as far as I know. Windows 7 drivers seem to work on windows 8 though. The web interface is KLUNKY and has different options to the front panel. The whole software/driver/panel interface feels like it's hacked together by a bunch of different people who don't talk. Scanning feels like an afterthought, although it's what I use it for mainly. Printing works well.
  • Pros: It has worked well as a printer for the last couple of years. The scanner works well, although the bed had to be replaced (luckily under warrantee).
  • Cons: The two main gripes I have:

Not going to buy

Tom L., Newegg
13 January 2013
  • Summary: Don't buy Xerox.
  • Pros: Prints well and hasn't ever jammed.
  • Cons: I have a Xerox multi-function Laser at work. The software to support printing, and especially scanning is grotesque. Plus, every time someone powers down their computer, the scanner software disconnects from the printer and we have uninstall, reboot, and reinstall. This is ghastly, and I'll be replacing this Xerox with another brand. Xerox telephone support has been accessible, though they' completely failed to solve any problems in 3 different calls. The last call, t...

Beats my Brother or HP purchases

Cheryl C., Newegg
20 November 2011
  • Summary: I also like that it has a USB port conveniently on the front for scanning to a dongle
  • Pros: Great price at newegg, much more solidly built than Brother, does not overheat like HP. Scan function is excellent, too
  • Cons: paper tray is a little tight and you have to wiggle it a bit to open and close. Otherwise, the unit is top notch.

Lloyds S., Newegg

  • Pros: Very nice small office machine. Decent speed, but a tad slow on single page prints prior to a warm-up. Scans without issue, and will likely replace a dedicated in-office fax machine, but the faxing functionality hasn't been tested yet.
  • Cons: Bottom paper tray is a bit clunky.

Xerox 3210 Simple to Install & Use

Jim F., Newegg
11 May 2010
  • Summary: I freed up so much desk space getting rid of the fax machine and flatbed scanner. I have a large Xerox Phaser color laser printer and knew the quality was excellent. This too has proven to have excellent printing capability, a quick and easy to use fax and multiple page scanner. I'm very happy!!
  • Pros: One machine that replaced 3 machines.
  • Cons: None yet.

User Review

Jonathan H., Newegg
4 February 2010
  • Summary: Replacing a sharp copier/printer. This unit is much slower to warm up, but everything else works great, much better quality with copies and faster print speed than unit replaced.
  • Pros: does everything I need in my small business, relatively inexpensive
  • Cons: Relatively slow warmup
