Summary: We've already had a part replaced; the side paper tray has never worked; it's slower to print from our very old HP BUT we do enjoy the quality of the printing and ability to print 2-sided. Also ink is much more expensive than we anticipated and seems to disappear more quickly than we'd like.
Summary: We've had our printer for a week and it's working alongside a Xerox Phaser 8870 which has served us well for 5 years with no problems other than needing a restart every other month because a fault it has. So far so good and it's better in every sense. It's been really easy to setup. It needed a few firmware updates out of the box but if you know what you doing this can be done in less than 30min.
Summary: We run a high quality, high volume spay/neuter clinic in the Baltimore-Washington, DC area. We have a network of PC's. As a high volume service we needed a fast printer that could easily and quickly print client records, certificates and receipts. We also needed to print big colorful flyers advertising our services. We also needed other standard office equipment: copier, fax machine and scanner.
Summary: The ColorQube 8700 produces a fabulous product at a very reasonable rate. The scanner / copier works with amazing clarity. The only real issue that I have is that the machine is very loud. I often meet with clients in a conference room next to the room the 8700 is in. When I print something, the clients look around thinking someone is walking into the room. You may want to locate this unit away from anyone that has to sit near it while on the phone.
Summary: We have had about 5 solid ink products over the years. We just upgraded and got our 8700 about 3 weeks ago. I love the touch screen and how easy it is to put in ink. So much better than our other copier. I hope we replace our other copier with another 8700.
