c410w/xaa

dennis c., Newegg
27 January 2015
  • Summary: As with most printer bought currently, they give the printers away and get you on OEM toner replacements....fortunately, aftermarket chips and toner kits are available for cartridge refilling greatly reducing costs...get the extended warranty, it is worth every penny..
  • Pros: I have had several Samsung Lasers over the years, great product, nice to 'park' the printer for extended periods knowing the print quality will still be there, unlike inkjets which can dry and clog with extended periods of nonuse...easy to setup, wireless is a snap, NFC function works as it should....
  • Cons: none really

Sansung C410w

dennis c., Newegg
16 January 2015
  • Summary: just get the extended warranty, well worth the extra $20...
  • Pros: Third one, started with the CLP-315 back in 2008, EZ setup, USB, wireless, network wireless, and it has the NFC function, which worked on first try... Slick, what is great about these printers is they can be 'parked' for a long time and still print, whereas all inkjets I have owned will dry up if unused for a period of time...
  • Cons: none so far, got the extended three year warranty, peace of mind...

More trouble than its worth

Charles H., Newegg
31 December 2014
  • Summary: Crawl, Walk more so run from purchasing this printer, the low price should have highlighted the red flag but newegg would not sell junk ! or would they ?
  • Pros: Printer functions however the Wi-Fi drops out periodically and then will not print.
  • Cons: I had to sent the printer back to SAMSUNG because the printed copies were showing shades of red bleeding unto a what should have been a Black and White print. After the printer was sent back as REPAIRED, nothing had changed other than my ink levels had dramatically been lowered because of all the printing checks the so-called Tech's did.

Reliable machine

Richard Y., Newegg
24 December 2014
  • Pros: Great scans and able to choose multi-pdf page, multi-jpg, or single pdf or single jpg. Scans are great and clear. Easy to select which computer on our network we want send the scan to. Also, has an option to scan to USB storage device. Pages print quickly and my best feature, being able to scan multiple pages in feeder.
  • Cons: Digital readout is not backlit, so unable to see information screen unless have a light above the unit.

Unreasonable and Costly Repairs

Lynner, Staples
9 October 2014
  • Excerpt: I have had the printer for less than two years and I've already had to purchase a new imaging unit which cost about $100.00. Now the screen on the printer says, "Prepare New Transfer Belt". I was told that I need to have the printer diagnosed by a service technician to confirm that it indeed is the issue. The Transfer Belt is also about $100.00. That puts me at $200.00 not including the cost of the diagnosis.

I have had problems with this printer from the get ...

lg, Amazon
2 October 2014
  • Summary: I have had problems with this printer from the get go. Printer would/will say "paper jam" and will stop printing even when most of the time there is no paper jam. So I will have to take out the paper tray a number of times to then reinsert the tray over and over until the error read eventually stops. Often have to really push the tray in hard a bunch of times in order for it to get back to printing.

Very Nice Printer!

calc "calc", Amazon
1 October 2014
  • Summary: Bought this from Amazon. What a great printer! The colors are awesome. Laser printer is fast, especially for black and white. If you want to know how to switch from color mode to black and white mode, you go to Control Panel, Devices and Printers, then right click on the C460 icon and select "Printing Preferences". From there, click on "graphics" tab, and you can switch from color to grayscale and back.

Very simple to use and feature-rich.

reiththestud, Amazon
26 September 2014
  • Summary: The low-toner mode is great and really makes toner last. Also the NFC mode is great for allowing me to connect my phone. I actually don't use my desktop to scan documents at all anymore. I just do it all from my phone. This is my second Samsung Multifunction laser printer and I have love this one as much as my last one. Unfortunately I was a dumb-dumb and plugged my 110v printer into a 220v outlet and fried it. Otherwise I would not have bought this one.

Just useless for my college student

Paul Boyer, Amazon
14 September 2014
  • Summary: Single sided printing: papers curls badly. Cannot print to both sides of a sheet of paper. Paper folds in half inside the printer and prints on one half. Just useless for my college student. Had this printer slightly over 30 days and cannot return. Complete waste of money.
