Summary: I have printed well over 100 copies a week on this printer for the past 5 months and I have had no problems at all! I knew that I didn't want a color one, because I didn't want to have to pay all the extra money for toner. I really enjoy the USB plus that is in the front that directly connects to the printer/ I use this on the fly all the time when I'm in a rush. This printer isn't loud at all. My inkjet was a lot louder than this one.
Summary: Absolutely the worst multi-function laser printer I owned in my life. It has been repaired 4 times, for different reasons, and still not working properly. Printing - constant jams. Scanning - constant errors connecting to PC. Faxing - auto-fitter only takes one page then jams. Copying - a line going across page on an outcome. I am so frustrated with this unit that I am ready to through it out of window.
Summary: I read some of the reviews here before buying mine at Officemax almost 2 years ago. The only problem I have had, is having to plug in the fax portion of the printer into a phone outlet, and the wall outlet, not wanting to always work. gee. Finally, had a new jack installed, and no problems. I still need to unplug one item, to plug the fax-laser printer in so that I may fax documents. Now on the fax feature, I have to limit the pages to about 8-10 pages at one time.
Summary: I've had this printer for just over 2 years, in an small office setting with low to moderate use only. It was working well, and I especially liked the "Fax to Email" feature which I have been unable to find on any other similar printer. Unfortunately it has developed the "System Error, Cycle Power" problem after 2 years. I've searched on the internet and this seems to be a fairly common problem with this printer.
Summary: I needed a low cost, durable multifunction for my wife's new office. I used to swear by HP, but have become somewhat disenchanted with their newer products. I found this Samsung at a good price on Amazon, and it provided all of the features we needed. The copy quality is good and the paper handling and speed are adequate for our needs, though I cannot understand for the life of me why almost all of these machines don't hold more paper stock. Network setup is a breeze.
Summary: I've owned mine for a year. I have to suspect that half the problem is in the cockpit, or shall we say, user. It's hard to imagine having all these issues without abuse or misuse of the printer. First, I don't think using after-market supplies, especially the toner is a smart move, to save a few bucks. I also have to wonder what kind of duty cycle folks demand of their units.
Summary: I was really surprised at how fast this printer spits out the sheets. I have a color laser from Samsung too and expected the speed and quality to be similar but this laser was much faster. The only thing I regret looking into is that it is not a network scanning printer. I was able to easily set up the scan to email feature which works great too. Good printer for the price. Toner is affordable too.
Summary: I just got fed up with the continual expense and hassles of inkjet cartridges and started looking at laser printing instead. While I like the color of the inkjet and the print quality, the costs were a constant nag and refilling, while thrifty and pretty easy to do, always seems to be needed at the most inopportune time...often right in the middle of a print job. I never got more than 3-4 refills out of a cartridge, so that expense doesn't ever completely go away.
