Summary: I love this printer! Speed is great at printing, scanning, faxing and copying. The size is very compact compared to similar multi-function printers many of which have trays (paper and top feeder) sticking out and representing an inconvenient in small spaces. This one is very convenient when it comes to size and design. The one thing I hate is that they did not include a back lit display.
Summary: This printer was easy to setup, and works great. I bought this because I got tired of cheap inkjets drying up if used infrequently. I don't use a printer often, but when I do I want it to work. That was the motivation to go laser. Of course I want my printer to do everything, so need the multifunction. Wireless is a great convenience. And the enclosed paper tray is a feature one might overlook, but dusty paper can lead to paper jams, so it is nice to have.
A great 'value for money and quality' laser printer for home/small office
2 July 2012
Summary: An excellent value for money mono laser printer/scanner/fax, which once set up for wireless operation (read the user guide first, unlike me!) is a valuable feature - especially if others visit the house, and need to print/scan/fax without needing to hook up the USB cable. I purchased a large capacity toner cartridge (approx 2500 prints approx via ebay for around $30) and haven't yet needed to use it - still on the original cartridge after some 500 prints.
Summary: Great little machine, good price, I loved the clean scans. I purchased this printer because of it's value. I have had Brother printers in the past. This does much better scan than what I experienced in Brother. I thought about purchasing Canon this time. However, could not pass this one because of it's affordable price. For light use at home I find this printer very useful.
Summary: It is good peace of equipment. I did send faxes made copies some scanning worked fine. No complains. It is good peace of equipment. I did send faxes made copies some scanning worked fine. No complains.
Summary: As a former director of technology support for a university, I have probably purchased a hundred or more printers in the last two decades. Almost all of those printers were made by HP, but when it came time to purchase a new laser printer for our home office, I couldn't see paying the price premium and decided to take a chance on the Samsung. It's been a year, and that bet has paid off handsomely. The printer is fast and efficient.
