Rating depends on your type of usage

D W Flemming "Don", Amazon
21 December 2012
  • Summary: I have used this printer for one year with mixed thoughts. It has easy to set up wireless configuration. Print quality is very good. The down sides to the product include a far too often nasty habit of periodically dropping the wireless connection and can only be solved by doing a complete...

Good printer, horrible documentation

Kris Gunnarsson, Amazon
1 March 2012
  • Summary: I like this printer, but I give it only 3 stars. I bought this printer because I wanted an inexpensive good quality wireless b/w laser printer. This printer is that. But the instructions that come with it to enable the wireless connection are so far below standard as to strip the product of two...

If you can set it up...

Joe User, Amazon
13 December 2011
  • Summary: I wasted 2 days of my life trying to get this thing to work. It wouldn't print with the wireless or with USB cord. I tried everything, drivers, etc. But no printing, status box said not supported, horrible. Printers should just plug in. I finally figured it out, and it is an easy fix.

Drums for this printer

alabemos, Amazon
1 October 2011
  • Summary: I talked to Samsung's online support about replacement drums for this printer, when I did not find them easily available on the internet. They said the drum must be replaced by their technician. Translation: once the drum wears out, throw the printer away.

Generally okay

Jean, Amazon
11 January 2014
  • Summary: I bought this because it was recommended for cheap printing. It suits my purpose, but the paper feed is slightly crooked which is why I can't give it a higher score.

Not suitable for iPhone or iPad

K. Simpson, Amazon
17 March 2012
  • Summary: I thought this printer would allow me to wirelessly print from my iPhone and iPad it sadly it is not AirPrint enabled. Nice, neat looking printer though. Sadly I need to change it for one which is AirPrint enabled at much higher cost.

Connecting via WiFi very problematic... perfect otherwise

J KOUROPALATIS, Amazon
4 February 2012
  • Summary: Indeed this is one of the best looking printers I have ever bought. Very sleek, very compact, understated presence (great for small office) and great printing quality. BUT... connection via WiFi has so far been a pain for me.

Good printer for the price but not perfect

HRussell, Amazon
9 October 2011
  • Summary: I bought this printer based on the positive reviews here and am relatively happy with it. It is certainly compact and quiet and very easy to set up. The wireless printing function is extremely useful if I am working in another room and want to print without a connecting wire.
