:/

Carlos1291, Amazon
15 October 2012
  • Summary: This is a good product because it's a good size and prints rapidly, but, for some reason(and this may be the particular one I got) I had a terrible time trying to set up the wireless printing feature. After I gave up on it, even just by using the USB connection to print my documents, it would randomly decide to mess something up with the drivers so I couldn't print, it works, but I have to keep installing and uninstalling the drivers whenever it trips up.

Great price, Great company, Low capacity toner

Thoai Bui, Amazon
1 February 2012
  • Summary: This printer was a steal when I first saw it on Amazon but when I started to use it my eyes where opened to reality. This printer (for the occasional printer user) is fast and efficient, but if you print documents and legal work on a normal basis then look elsewhere as the the toner cartridge will be replaced very quickly. This is standard paper letter 250 slot and makes it slightly awkward to add Legal paper but nothing major.

Broke Down After 16 Months

Shyama Perera "hampsteadreader", Amazon
4 May 2013
  • Summary: This printer was totally terrific. For fifteen months. In month 16, it started playing up - pages not printing properly, fading halfway through. I thought the problem was the cartridge, so I put in a new one. Exactly the same problem - indeed, after a few goes, it stopped printing at all. I followed all the tips on the Samsung site. No luck. Called them. An operative talked me through all the things I'd already done, checked my status on the web and...

poor product only lasted 18 months

bookbrowseruk, Amazon
30 November 2012
  • Summary: Initially all went well with this seemingly easy to use laser printer which did a good job printing mansucripts. A few months from installation the wireless went and had to be reinstalled; it went again and had to be reinstalled again; it went again and had to be reinstalled again, so I gave up. Then it began overheating when printing so I'd stop and wait a while and start again. In the last 6 months it began to take in two pieces of paper when printing and jam.

Poor Wireless Capability, Good Printer

PG, Amazon
1 April 2012
  • Summary: I bought this Samsung ML-1865W because of its wireless capabilities, but there are several points of weakness in its wireless capabilities: (i) the printer cannot connect with a network which is not broadcasting its SSID (its name), even when you tell it manually the name of the network to which it is to connect; this forces you to broadcast your SSID, taking away a layer of security and exposing the router to wasteful interrogations from devices which try to connect to...

I Thought it was an Excellent Little Printer but.....

misguided54, Amazon
15 February 2012
  • Summary: I bought this to complement an inkjet linked by USB to a desktop PC. The need to boot up the pc to print and the cost and short life of ink cartridges were the drivers. My router (Sky) does not support the auto install option but it only took 5 minutes to install the software on a laptop, connect the printer to it by USB and configure the printer to link wirelessly. I installed the software on the other desktop PCs and everything works!

Der Traum vom WLAN Printer

Rauchensteiner, Amazon
10 June 2011
